Welcome To The Deep Six Dive Site

Greetings! If you're a diver, thinking of becoming a diver, interested in diving, or know a diver, read on and feel free to join our merry band of divers and dive buddies.

In our group we have a mix of divers from sport, vintage, rescue, technical, dive shop owner, instructors, and dive masters. We plan all sorts of dives in a range of skills like shore dives, quarry dives, ice dives, and wreck dives as well. All ages are welcome. If you're interested in scuba diving and would like to learn more about us, feel free to come to a meeting, or join us on a outing. We've been getting in some good shore dives this month. In Door County we visited Porcupine Bay, the Fleetwing wreck in Garret Bay, the old pier remains in Jacksonport, and Moonlight Bay. At Fortune Pond in the UP, we found everything nicely thawed out and got in a good solid weekend of diving.

Next Meeting

The Prez

Jim Bach founded our club starting with a group of people who enjoyed diving and having a good time doing it, whether it was boat dives or shore dives, local or maybe taking a road trip up to Door County. Jim introduced some of us to memorable diving in Door County. Jim's been diving for many years and has extensive experience in diving Lake Michigan shipwrecks, and has a special interest in vintage dive gear and dive photography and videography. He brought a lot of knowledge of the local wrecks to the table, especially regarding the Niagara, going to the extent of mapping out some additional sections of the wreck that lie away from the main section, which most divers never get to see. He's also put considerable effort into scanning areas of the lakebed north of Port Washington to locate additional dive sites. Jim and ViAnn have also shared the hospitality and warmth of their home with the club for the annual picnic and Christmas party, and have hosted special meetings in the past such as Fred and Tammy Remers's farewell.

The Veep

Dave Job, along with Fred Remers, as past owners of the Fog Ducker have taken many divers out to local dive sites. Dave's an avid diver of tropical locations, Great Lakes shipwrecks, and below the ice of Wisconsin's winter wonderland. Dave also assists in maintaining the Deep Six Divers Website and has kept divers up to date on group functions. Dave has helped direct meetings. Dave is one of the orginal Deep Six plank holders being there since the beginning.
